How to
Use
1. wash 1 cup of Toor Dal thoroughly.
2. Soak for 10-30 minutes, if desired.
3. Add the dal, water, and a little turmeric to a pressure cooker.
4. Pressure cooker until soft and well-cooked.
5. Mash the cooked dal and adjust the consistency with water.
6. Add salt and simmer for a few minutes.
7. Prepare a tempering with oil/ghee, mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves, and spices.
8. Add the tempering to the dal and serve hot with rice, roti, or dosa.
