Description
Mace Flower is a fragrant spice obtained from the bright red, lace-like outer covering of the nutmeg seed. Once harvested, the mace is carefully separated, dried and sold as whole blades or pieces.
It has a warm, sweet, mildly spicy and aromatic flavor that enhances both savory and sweet dishes. Mace is commonly used in briyani, pulao. curries, garam masala, spice blends, soups, baked foods, desserts and beverages.
