Use
1. Wash 1 cup chana dal thoroughly.
2. soak for 3-4 hours and drain.
3. Pressure cook with water, salt and turmeric until soft.
4. Prepare masala using oil or ghee, cumin, onion, tomato, ginger, garlic and spices.
5. Add the cooker dal and simmer for a few minutes.
6. Garnish with coriander leaf and serve hot with rice, roti or chapati.
